fake movies – ad hominem
“no war is justified enough”The year is 2100, February; the brand new Europe. Millions are addicted to a chemically created drug, the Flux, which causes its users to feel whatever they want at a given moment.
The head of the Il de Mar family, Alberich (Mikkelsen) and his wife, Chloe (Pike) promise happiness without the elixir, and autonomy from the West. Problems and conflicts arise when the head of the Populist Party, Peter Stadt (Gillen) promises to exude even more Flux with the help of the infamous Theodore ”Teddy” Bale (Tennant), the brother of his beloved wife, Lea (Dodds).
A dirty political war begins behind a seemingly sober situation. Leadership and power: all at cost. The royal family hires Dr. Engelmann (Stuhlbarg), a linguist, to mesmerize the masses of people listening to the daily debates. As a counterstrike, the Stadts find Ms. Babel (Mara), an ex-convict and a history genius from Eastern Europe.
There is no stopping: desperate times, desperate measures. Alberich empowers his former friend, the veteran General Mundane (Dobry) to get the whole of the Populist Party out of the picture. And that is when the long lost Oracle (Byrne) speaks up to the crowd…
